Our website services are designed solely to give you the information that you want to receive. All information on the website relates to the holiday cottage and related services.The owners will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

Pop-ups and advertising; The Wilderness website does not use any kind of pop-up advertising, nor will you be redirected to other websites unknowingly. There are no third-party advertisements on the website.

Cookies; Cookies are used by some websites to monitor your website browsing habits. They are small files which are installed on your computer whilst you browse the internet and are usually harmless. However The Wilderness does not agree with this practice and The Wilderness website (www.uk-holiday-cottages.org) does not use cookies.

e-mail; You will almost certainly have supplied us with your e-mail address during the course of making your booking. We will never knowingly pass your e-mail address to any third party without your specific consent. You will not be sent unsolicited advertising e-mails by us and your e-mail address is not held in any database by us. We operate a vigorous anti-spam policy!

Personal information; We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met or you have so asked. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Paper copies of all booking forms are however kept for seven years as required of us by law for tax accounting purposes. These are kept entirely privately in our records.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. (We charge £10 for information requests.)

Website traffic monitor; Log files allow us to record visitors' use of the website. We use this information to fine tune the website so as to more readily meet the needs of our customers. Log files do not contain any personal information and they are not used to identify any individual patterns of use of the site.

Hyperlinks; The Wilderness website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy applies only to our site, so you should always be aware of this when moving to another site, and read the privacy statement of the site you visit. We do not pass on any personal information you have given us to any other site.

The Wilderness is about 2 hours from Heathrow Airport and 90 mins from London by rail.
