South West England! The magnificent Longleat House and safari park are just 10
mins away. We are just 40 mins from Stonehenge and Salisbury and 30 mins from
Bath by road. Westbury Railway Station is 1 mile away with regular direct

superb food is just a short walk across the fields. There are many excellent

arranged at many.
History
of The Wilderness; Set in large private gardens "The Wilderness" dates
from 1640 and was originally a pair of farm cottages believed to belong to the
estate of Heywood House nearby. The house features original oak beams and the
ceilings are low in many places but this all just adds to the charm ! The
original cottages have been carefully extended over the years to provide very
spacious and varied accommodation. There are 2 double bedrooms, 6 twins (some
convert to doubles) and a large family room with 2 single beds with guest beds
under. There is ample private parking at the front of the house.
Hen Parties at The Wilderness Hen parties have become
more and more popular at the Wilderness, especially since we now offer a range
of extra services including beauty therapy, massage, in-house catering, outdoor
pusuits and a minibus service for that all important night out in
Bath!
The cottage itself provides the cosy ambience perfect for old
friends to get together and chat over a glass or two. All our hen parties have
loved the Place and many of our brides' guests have come back for their own hen
party!
The
Wilderness is "Child Friendly" and entirely non-smoking.
